The Offices for Faculty and the Senior Vice President's offices are hosting a Retirement Brunch on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 to honor and celebrate University faculty who retired between June 2024 and June 2025!

Kurt is proud to have trained 300 people in his lamb intensive care unit, nearly 200 of which were undergraduate students and the remainder of which were U medical students, clinical residents and fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty. In recognition of these efforts, he received the Beacons of Excellence Individual Transformative Mentoring Award.

Peggy is proud of her extensive research and publications. She has authored, co-authored, edited, or co-edited 20 books, won the Distinguished Research Award and the Rosenblatt Prize, and was named one of the "Mothers of Bioethics."

Steve is proud of his contributions to the Department of Philosophy. He served as department chair and associate department chair, hired 20+ excellent scholars, designed numerous courses, and helped to raise the department's national and international prominence.

Mark is proud that his work has helped others understand the information needs of scientists and engineers. As a leader in building library collections and a recognized authority on the management of online resources, he has improved information literacy in engineering education, reduced costs for libraries, and improved research efficiency.

Hanadi is proud to have delivered exceptional care to her patients in a compassionate manner, mentored junior faculty, and served as the Medical Director of Madsen Health Internal Medicine. Most of all, she is proud of teaching "future generations of compassionate physicians."

Barbara is proud of her 10 years as chair of Oncological Sciences, during which she launched the Basic Science Working Group. The working group continues to this day as an important forum for sharing information and strategic program discussions among School of Medicine leadership.

Pamela is proud to have been part of the CTLE team when the pandemic hit, which helped the university pivot to teaching remotely and online. CTE is a small center and together they helped hundreds of faculty and instructors, impacting thousands of students. The enormity of helping the university pivot was memorable and one she is proud to be associated with.

Jerry is proud of 45 exciting and wonderful years, during which he served as the dean of the College of Engineering, received the Rosenblatt Prize for Excellence, was named a Distinguished Professor, published 400 papers, and mentored 40 Ph.D. graduates.

Linda is proud to have served as the Chief Pharmacy Officer at University Health and as Associate Dean at the College of Pharmacy. In these roles, she intertwined service and teaching missions by developing great preceptors to provide excellent training sites for pharmacy students and pharmacists doing post graduate training.
