S.T.A.R. Fellows Program

As a new faculty member participating in the Mentor Program, you will also be automatically included in the S.T.A.R. Fellows program.

Information about the S.T.A.R. Fellows program:

In order to be designated a fellow you will need to accrue 1000 points by the end of the academic year. There will be a reception at the end of spring semester for all the mentor program participants to celebrate together and to recognize those who met the requirements as fellows.

Point Opportunities:

  • 100 – New Faculty Orientation
  • 100 - Quarterly Resource Spotlights (geared especially for new faculty but open to all faculty)
  • 75 – Monthly Pod Meetings
  • 50 – Attending Office for Faculty; Center for Teaching Excellence; Office of the Vice President for Research; College; and Departmental programming

You can get 1000 points by just attending all the new faculty specific programming from the Office for Faculty and your monthly pod meetings, but hopefully the flexibility in earning points will provide a little extra motivation to check out other programming as well!

  • Friday, November 15 | 9am - 10am
  • Friday, January 24 | 9am - 10am

2024-2025 S.T.A.R. Faculty Fellows

Out of around 100 new main campus faculty, 26 new faculty members successfully completed all requirements during their first year at the U, earning the distinguished title of S.T.A.R. Faculty Fellow. This is a testament to their hard work, commitment, and unwavering dedication to excellence in their roles.

To honor the achievements of these remarkable faculty members, we hosted a Recognition Brunch at the end of the 24-25 Academic Year. It was a joyous occasion to celebrate their time, effort, and commitment to success at the University.

Please join me in congratulating our newly minted S.T.A.R. Faculty Fellows for their outstanding achievements. We are excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make at our university!
