Academic Leaders Online

Promoting cross-campus communication, and information sharing, this program invites academic leaders from across campus to gather and hear firsthand from University Leadership about relevant and timely information.  Topics vary monthly.

Academic leaders from across the University are invited to attend, including deans, associate/assistant deans, department chairs, school directors, and program directors. The purpose of this series is primarily informational, and agendas are usually designed with Chairs and Associate Deans in mind. While Deans are always welcome to attend, the information shared in some of these sessions may overlap with information shared during CAD.

If you are an academic leader, you will receive an Outlook invitation approximately two weeks before the event. If you or someone you know are not receiving these invitations, please reach out to officeforfaculty@utah.edu.

*These meetings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month from 12:00pm - 1:15pm*

Academic Leaders Online aims to provide a safe space for open and honest dialogue among our Academic Leaders. With that goal in mind, sessions are not recorded. Materials that have been approved for distribution after the meetings can be found at the link below:

2024-2025 Academic Year

Provost Mitzi Montoya is planning to join us for a brief 15-minute check-in at each session. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to connect directly with the Provost, share insights, and ask any questions you have of leadership. Please come prepared with ideas for questions or topics you would like to discuss during these check-ins.
