About this Event

The 2026 Faculty Soiree took place on Tuesday, September 25th from 5pm - 7pm at the Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House. All new Faculty from Main Campus and Health Sciences hired after August 20, 2025, were invited to attend, along with their department chairs and college deans. Welcome remarks were provided by Provost Mitzi Montoya and EVP Bob Carter.

This year, we also recognized six faculty members with the inaugural Excellence in Faculty Mentoring Award, celebrating their outstanding commitment to supporting and mentoring their colleagues.

The event had a distinct rootin’ tootin’ vibe that added a whole lot of fun to the evening! Charming country-themed decorations set the stage, while scrumptious food and drinks provided by GoodDay Catering helped create a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

We hope new faculty left feeling welcomed, celebrated and connected to their colleagues.
